The village is famous for its vegetative covering and pine forest, in addition to vegetables such as bean, potato, sweet potato and maize crop. The people of Madaklasht are simple and hospitable, whose subsistent economy depends on livestock, farming and employment opportunities. The women are highly industrious in terms of producing some labour-intensive handicrafts such as sweeter, woolen socks, mufflers etcetera. Madaklasht is also the starting point for the one-week long Madaklasht-Laspur natural trail that goes over the difficult mountains and high altitude glaciers. It is really worth trying!

Chitral Gol is an ideal habitat for wildlife such as wild goats and Markhoor apart from the illusive snow leopard, given the balaned ecological system of the area preserved by the locals. Chitral Gol is also the starting point for a three days trekking to either Rumbur or Bumborate.
