Taqalar's Plea

"I am Taqalar. Please do not make a fun of me whilst passing through bazaar. Nor do I like being poked with fingers by the idiots who are all out to chase me. This way I feel insulted. Though I do not have the capacity to talk, you have the strength to know my problems through the language of my body. Some more requests: please do not throw balls of snow at me in winter time whilst proceeding to my house on my feeble rickety legs. It hurts me. I deserve your help. So please take care of me whichever way it is possible for you. Thank you for taking care of me".

It is worth noticing that sort of disabled people are treated as stock of fun in the rural societies to the extent that they feel ashamed and uncomfortable. Sometimes they feel about themselves as socially dejected creature. To guarantee the normal survival of disabled individuals a socially capable society is inevitable.

Following questions have to be considered:

1) What are the reasons that motitave people to make a fun of these people?
2) What relaxation does the fun maker derive from such practice?
3) Is it that people do not have other engagements except to busy themselves with making a fun of vulnerable individials of the society?
4) What are the cultural and social impacts of making such socially unacceptable fun of disabled people?
5) Are there other places where such practices are going on?
5) How could the fun maker be educated to abondon the unacceptable social practice?
6) What we can voluntarily do for the broader welfare of disabled people?

Please keep on considering these questions for the broader welfare of the disabled figures of our society. Thanks!
