Conventional Sawing

In the picture two people are sawing construction wood in traditional manner that does not involve machenised sawing technique. Introduction of machanical sawing that has growned into a lucrative industry at the hand of timber mafia and is deemed a serious threat to the thin forest pocket in southern Chitral. What a pity!

Cuckoo—A Bolt from the Blue

This bird perching and singing atop the magnificent chinar tree has been spotted for the first time. Never before has any body noticed the present of cuckoo in the Chitral district. They might have migrated to other places the way cuckoo has migrated to Chitral.
