Takht-i-Bhai, literally meaning 'Spring on Flate Surface of Hill'. The spring still exists on the west side. Therefore the Buddist santuary and the nearby village were named after this spring. The remains are most astounding, exciting and imposing relics of Buddism in Pakistan dating back to 2nd to 5th century AD and scattered over 32.9 hectors The site was excavated by Dr DB Spooner and Mr Hargreaves in 1907-09 to 1910-11 respectively.

The library in its temporary setting while the walls are being repaired in the original room.

The library, along with the computer lab, became the favourite place of many kids. It is a delight to see them having discovered this treasure that remains book reading.

Still overloaded!

Our vehicle is more than ever overcrowded while preparing for its trip after school, first towards Upper Kosht, secondly heading for Kuragh and Reshun, further down on the road to Chitral.
